Micron Begins Volume Production For Vera Rubin

At GTC 2026, Micron announced it has entered high-volume production of HBM4 36GB 12‑Hi memory for Nvidia's Vera Rubin GPU platform and confirmed volume shipments of a PCIe 6.0 data-center SSD and a SOCAMM2 module. The HBM4 stack runs at over 11 Gb/s per pin for more than 2.8 TB/s bandwidth, claiming 2.3× the bandwidth of HBM3E and over 20% better power efficiency.
Key Points
- 1Announces HBM4 36GB 12‑Hi high-volume production for Nvidia's Vera Rubin GPU ecosystem
- 2Delivers over 2.8 TB/s bandwidth at >11 Gb/s, 2.3× HBM3E throughput and >20% efficiency gain
- 3Enables Vera Rubin deployments to leverage higher memory bandwidth and improved power efficiency in datacenters
Scoring Rationale
Strong official product launch with measurable performance gains, limited to Nvidia's Vera Rubin ecosystem and data-center segment.
