Corrections Policy

Last updated: April 19, 2026

If you believe a factual statement in one of our news articles is incorrect, we want to know and we will review it. This page explains how to submit a correction, what we do with it, and what kinds of requests we will and will not action.

1.How to submit a correction

Email us at the address below with the following details. The more specific you are, the faster we can review and act.

Please include:

  • The URL of the specific article on Let's Data Science
  • The exact sentence or claim you believe is incorrect
  • The corrected version, in your words
  • A source we can check (a link, a document, or a direct quote from a named spokesperson)
  • Your name and relationship to the subject of the article, where relevant

2.How we handle corrections

Once a correction request is received we will review the claim against the sources we have and, where relevant, check additional public reporting. One of the following will happen:

  • Correction. If the claim is demonstrably inaccurate, we update the article. Where appropriate we add a short note at the end recording what was changed and when.
  • Clarification. If the claim is technically accurate but could be read in a misleading way, we may add context or soften the wording.
  • Decline with reasoning. If our reporting is supported by the available sources and we do not consider the request well-founded, we will say so and explain briefly why.

We target a turnaround of five business days on well-specified requests and will confirm back to you once a decision is made.

3.What we do not action

We only action removal or substantive change requests from the party named or directly referenced in the article, or from their authorised legal counsel. We do not action requests from unrelated third parties, reputation-management firms, or anonymous senders.

We also do not remove accurate reporting on request. If a story is well-sourced and our summary is supported by public reporting at the time of publication, we will not take it down even if a subject prefers we did. Where a subject disputes the interpretation rather than the facts, we may add their on-the-record response to the article.

Requests that allege inaccuracy without specifying which claim is incorrect, or that ask for content to be removed without engaging with the substance, will be declined.

4.Image rights and trademarks

If your request concerns a news-article preview image, a photograph, or a company name or logo, that is handled separately under our Image Rights, Trademarks and Takedown Policy.
