Kubernetes Launches Agent Sandbox For Stateful Agents

The Kubernetes community, led by SIG Apps maintainers, launches Agent Sandbox, a CRD-based project to host stateful AI agents, with version 0.21 released two weeks ago. The single-container VM environment offers per-agent stateful workspaces, supports secure runtimes such as gVisor and Kata Containers, and uses SandboxWarmPool to pre-warm pods to avoid cold starts. This addresses low-latency, long-running agent workloads for cloud-native platforms.
Scoring Rationale
Addresses major cloud-native AI workload needs with official backing, but remains early-stage and rapidly evolving.
