Boston Dynamics, majority owned by Hyundai, unveiled a new 200-pound Atlas humanoid and plans to deploy robots at Hyundai's Ellabell, Georgia factory by 2028, CEO Robert Playter told Business Insider at CES. Playter said Atlas must learn new tasks within a day or two, achieve roughly 99.9% reliability, start with logistics tasks like parts sequencing, and will leverage a partnership with Google DeepMind.
