TSMC Reports Arizona Plant Achieving Profitability

TSMC reported that its Arizona operations turned profitable in 2025 after four years of losses, with the plant recording NT$16.14 billion in profit-sharing following cumulative operating losses of about $1.25 billion since 2021. The company credits a 2024 upshift to 4nm, enabling orders for AMD's Ryzen and NVIDIA's Blackwell, and plans further upgrades toward 3nm by early 2027 despite higher U.S. costs and immature supply chains.
