IIT Bombay Unveils PARAM Rudra Supercomputer

IIT Bombay inaugurated the PARAM Rudra supercomputing facility on January 8, 2026, with Secretary Abhay Karandikar officiating. The 3 petaFLOPS system, developed and deployed by C-DAC using indigenously designed Rudra servers, an Indian software stack and direct contact liquid cooling, will serve about 200 faculty and 1,200 students while supporting national researchers, startups, and industry under the National Supercomputing Mission.
