India's Department of Biotechnology inaugurated the iDeaNA–BRIC–CDFD technology incubator and laid the foundation for the SAMARTH National Skill Development Centre at CDFD's Uppal campus on January 9, 2026. The incubator, operational for a year, hosts 12 start-ups (five women-led), has raised ₹18 crore and filed four patents, and aims to strengthen bio-manufacturing, medical diagnostics and genomics capabilities.
