Anthropic Finds AI Augments Rather Than Replaces

Anthropic's November 2025 Economic Index analyzes millions of anonymized Claude.ai and first-party API interactions to classify usage across over 3,000 work tasks and five economic primitives. The report finds the top 10 tasks account for 24% of conversations (32% in enterprise API), 52% of interactions are augmentation versus 45% automated, software tasks dominate, and U.S. usage may converge within two to five years.
