Agentic AI Foundation Launches Open Standards Initiative

The Linux Foundation this week launched the Agentic AI Foundation (AAIF), co-founded by Anthropic, Block and OpenAI with support from Google, Microsoft, AWS, Cloudflare and Bloomberg. The AAIF consolidates donated projects—Anthropic's Model Context Protocol, Block's Goose framework and OpenAI's AGENTS.md—to develop open protocols, governance, funding and community programs for interoperable agentic AI. The effort aims to ensure transparent, vendor-neutral agent development.
