Square Enix Integrates Gemini Into Dragon Quest

Square Enix announced it will integrate Google's generative AI Gemini into Dragon Quest X to provide an in-game conversational companion. The character Oshaberi Slimey will use Gemini to generate chat-based hints, automatic voice responses and navigational guidance to help new players. Square Enix says it is also collaborating with Google Cloud to further expand AI usage in the game.
