South Korea Monitors North Korea Asian Games Participation

South Korea's National Security Adviser Wi Sung-lac said Friday he is monitoring reports that North Korea may send athletes to the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, set to run Sept. 19–Oct. 4 in Aichi prefecture. Wi called sports exchanges among the less difficult forms of inter-Korean engagement and said participation would be desirable, while noting no decisions have been made ahead of the upcoming summit between President Lee Jae Myung and Japan's Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi.
