South Korea Expands Public Procurement For AI

South Korea's government will expand public procurement programs for innovative AI products from local companies, Finance Minister Koo Yun-cheol said Friday. The plan creates an exclusive review committee in September, mandates at least 50 percent domestically produced components for designated products, and raises pilot purchase funding from 52.9 billion won in 2025 to 83.9 billion won in 2026. The measures aim to bolster domestic AI industry growth.
