China rejected the allegations; Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning described the measures as an abuse of national-security concerns and said Beijing would take necessary measures to protect Chinese companies' interests, according to CNN.
The ban separates the question of manufacturing scale from the question of international market access. For robotics teams, that creates a practical procurement issue: a component or full-system supplier can be technically competitive and cost-effective while still facing restrictions tied to cybersecurity, connectivity, data governance, or trade policy.

They do not, on their own, compare robots' general-purpose manipulation, autonomy, reliability in unstructured environments, or lifecycle economics.
