SAG-AFTRA Extends Negotiations With Major Studios

SAG-AFTRA and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers agreed Friday to extend contract negotiations into the week of March 9, after talks that began Feb. 9 — the unions' first bargaining with studios since the 2023 strike. Negotiations cover artificial intelligence, streaming residuals, health and pension funding, and exclusivity windows; if talks fail they may pause and resume in June.
