Punjab Establishes Intelligence Fusion And Threat Centre

Punjab has established the Provincial Intelligence Fusion and Threat Assessment Centre (PIFTAC) in Lahore, officials said, becoming the country's first province to create such a unit. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif reviewed the facility as authorities outlined plans for an AI hub, province-wide cybercrime cell, dedicated anti-drone unit, district dashboards and entry-point digital scanners to enable real-time intelligence sharing and faster coordinated responses.
