Nvidia Delivers Earth-2 Weather Prediction Platform
Nvidia recently unveiled Earth-2, a suite of AI-driven weather and climate models (including CorrDiff, FourCastNet3, Medium Range, Nowcasting, Global Data Assimilation and PhysicsNeMo) that ingest satellite, radar and station data to produce rapid forecasts. Nvidia says Earth-2 can generate predictions up to 500 times faster than traditional supercomputer workflows, enabling faster storm warnings and improved short-term and medium-range forecasting used by some national agencies.
