Intel Warns Memory Shortage Persists Until 2028

Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan said at Intel's Annual Summit that memory shortages driven by rising AI demand will likely persist until at least 2028. He warned that AI workloads are "sucking up" memory, constraining supply, raising prices, and posing the industry's "biggest challenge." Tan also said Intel is investing in GPUs and hired a chief GPU architect to address compute needs.
