HTTP-3 Drives Low-Latency Web Performance Adoption

Zalando and other companies are adopting HTTP/3, which the IETF published as a Proposed Standard in June 2022 and builds on QUIC standardized in May 2021; 29.8% of websites deploy HTTP/3 and 8.0% use QUIC. The protocol reduces cold-request round-trips from five-to-six to about three, adds multiplexed streams, user-space congestion control, and connection handover, improving mobile latency and user experience for web applications.
