The Goa transport department, in coordination with the Public Works Department, will install AI-based traffic signals with cameras at 92 locations in the first phase, Transport Director Pravimal Abhishek announced on Friday in Margao. The cameras will detect violations such as triple-seat riding and number-plate offences and operate 24/7, while officials also proposed nearly 200 additional electric vehicles and road-safety education initiatives.
