Freshfields Deploys Anthropic Claude Firmwide for Legal Workflows

Freshfields and Anthropic announced a multi-year collaboration to deploy `Claude` firmwide and co-build AI-native legal workflows. Freshfields has provisioned `Claude` to 5,700 employees through its proprietary AI platform and reports adoption growth of roughly 500 percent within six weeks. The agreement covers deployment across 33 offices, early access to future Anthropic models and tools, and a co-development program to design agentic, multi-step legal workflows.

The partnership centers on integrating `Claude` into Freshfields' institutional systems and expanding into Anthropic's agentic platform, Cowork. Over the next 12 months the companies will collaborate on tooling and operational processes, with specific focus areas including legal and market research, contract review, document drafting and due diligence, and business services workflow automation. Key technical elements practitioners should note:
