Broadcom Posts Record Revenue Despite Shelfware

Broadcom on Thursday reported Q3 2025 revenue of $15.95 billion and net income of $4.1 billion, up 22% and 2,284% year-over-year respectively. Semiconductor revenue rose 26% to $9.2 billion and infrastructure-software revenue climbed 17% to $6.8 billion, while CEO Hock Tan said 90% of the top 10,000 customers subscribed to VMware Cloud Foundation have not all deployed it. Broadcom also recorded $5.2 billion in AI-related chip revenue, with XPUs comprising 65%.
