Zalando Uses LLMs To Automate UI Migration

Zalando's Partner Tech migrated 15 B2B applications from one in-house UI component library to another and evaluated large language models (LLMs) to automate code transformations. During an internal LLM hackathon they ran five iterative experiments—moving from direct source-code prompts to verified interface mappings and example-driven transformations—to reach high accuracy for basic components while retaining manual verification for complex cases, producing a reusable migration toolkit.
