The delegation asked for intensified, province-level rollout of technology-enabled professional development, focusing on AI and robotics knowledge for madrasa personnel. The conversation emphasized expanding reach through digital delivery rather than specifying platforms or vendors. Practical considerations for implementation include digital curriculum design, teacher digital literacy baseline, remote-training infrastructure, and integration with regional HR systems to enable contract employment.

This initiative links two under-addressed levers in Indonesian education policy: targeted technical upskilling for religious-school teachers and employment-status reform to improve welfare. Scaling AI and robotics training for madrasa teachers positions them to use edtech tools, teach computational topics, and better evaluate AI-driven educational resources.
