Tamil Nadu Launches AI and Semiconductor Missions

Finance Minister Thangam Thennarasu told the Tamil Nadu Assembly on February 20, 2026, that the DMK government has operationalized caste-inclusive priest appointments and listed flagship welfare schemes while launching an AI Mission and Semiconductor Mission 2030. Agriculture Minister M.R.K. Panneerselvam defended the Interim Agriculture Budget, saying no farmer suicides occurred in the past five years and relief has been provided for calamities.
