Space Force Integrates Commercial AI For Orbital Awareness

The U.S. Space Force is increasingly using commercial data and AI through its Space Domain Awareness TAP Lab and the Kronos program, officials said, with more than 400 companies participating over two years. The TAP Lab runs three-month cohorts that expose 61 public problem statements and accelerate moving unclassified tools toward operational use. Texas approved about $9.3 million to expand a new TAP node at UT Austin.
