South Korean Workers Reduce Hours With Generative AI

South Korean wage workers reported a 17.8% reduction in work hours after adopting generative AI tools, a Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry poll of 3,000 adults showed on Jan. 28. Respondents said AI saved an average 8.4 hours weekly, with 56% using tools daily and highest adoption in IT/telecom (77.6%); firms cite security rules and low perceived efficiency as barriers.
