South Korea's Supreme Prosecutors' Office said on Feb. 17 it is accelerating development of generative AI tools to assist investigations and trial preparation, including drafting indictments and summarizing case files. After research began in 2023 and funding was secured last year, prosecutors plan phased integration into the Criminal Justice Information System from 2027, running models on an internal on‑premises network to protect sensitive data.
