South Korea Fosters 500 Export-Oriented SMEs

South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources said Friday it will foster 500 small and medium-sized enterprises to reach annual export capacity above $10 million by 2030. Five agencies including KOTRA, Korea Trade Insurance and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology signed an MOU to provide marketing, certification, finance and consulting, offering up to 560 million won ($381,000) yearly. The plan aims to reduce export concentration, where the top 1% account for 84% of exports.
