Slingshot Aerospace Wins $27M Space Force Contract

Slingshot Aerospace said on Jan. 15 it won a $27 million, 18-month contract from the U.S. Space Force to advance TALOS, an AI-based autonomous virtual opponent for satellite-operator training. The award supports the Space Force's Operational Test and Training Infrastructure (OTTI) to simulate contested orbital threats and integrates TALOS into a shared ecosystem with open APIs. The system has seen use by the 57th Space Aggressors Squadron.
