Sir Ronald Sanders Assumes University of Guyana Chancellorship

Sir Ronald Sanders was installed as the 11th Chancellor of the University of Guyana on Feb. 14, 2026, at a ceremony on the Turkeyen campus attended by President Irfaan Ali, Cabinet members, and senior university officials. In his inaugural address he stressed the university's central role in Guyana’s economic transformation and urged focus on skills and AI education to produce creators, not passive consumers.
