Sejong University Ranks High In ARWU Subjects
Sejong University placed first in Korea for water resources engineering and 18th worldwide in hospitality and tourism, according to the 2025 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) by subject released by Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The ARWU emphasized Web of Science indicators with greater weight on World Class Output and World Class Faculty, and Sejong cited Q1 papers, citations and joint research for its gains. The results show broad strengths across engineering and natural sciences, with 16 subjects now in Korea's top 10.
