Punjab Launches AI-Powered Spatial Planning System
Punjab Minister Zeeshan Rafique said on April 2, 2026 that master planning for 37 districts and 128 tehsils is complete and that training of the Punjab Special Spatial Planning Authority's (PSPA) AI system is underway. He said PSPA has built a digital ecosystem including satellite-imagery classification and will detect new construction monthly; Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz directed creation of Pakistan's first satellite surveillance system.
