Publishers and ad tech firms are piloting agentic AI sell-side agents to automate ad inventory discovery, packaging, and deal execution, industry participants said. Using frameworks donated by AdCP to Prebid, early tests by The Weather Company, Optable and others combine LLM front ends (e.g., Anthropic’s Claude) with publisher data to propose, price, and activate campaigns. If successful, agents could scale small, customized deals and reduce reliance on intermediaries.
