Islamabad, Jan 12 — Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar urged collaboration to curb misinformation and outlined government measures including Pakistan’s first Digital Communication Department and verification efforts. Speaking at an IBA Karachi dialogue, he praised the iVerify system, called for AI-content labeling and joint public-private training with UNDP, and said media houses and platforms must play active roles to counter AI-driven fake news.
