India’s 594 km Ganga Expressway has completed a FASTag-enabled toll trial, with automatic boom barriers processing contactless payments during a Budaun district test ahead of an expected opening next month, Hindustan Times reported. UPEIDA is conducting similar trials across multiple plazas; the six-lane corridor spans 12 districts and includes extensive bridges and interchanges. ETH Zurich and RTDT are supplying AI and sensor systems to monitor road quality during construction.
