OpenAI Embeds AI Across Indian Universities
OpenAI on February 18, 2026 announced partnerships with leading Indian universities to embed AI across management, health, engineering, creative and multidisciplinary education. The first cohort includes IIT Delhi, IIM Ahmedabad, AIIMS New Delhi, Manipal, UPES and Pearl Academy, and the initiative will support over 100,000 students, faculty and staff with ChatGPT Edu, certifications, structured courses and responsible-use frameworks. OpenAI will also partner with PhysicsWallah, upGrad and HCL GUVI for broader AI courses.
