OpenAI Acquires Promptfoo To Expand Testing Capabilities
OpenAI announced today it will acquire Promptfoo Inc., a 2024-founded testing and security-evaluation platform for AI applications, for an undisclosed price. Promptfoo’s framework, used for prompt testing, red-team simulations, regression testing and CI integrations, addresses prompt injection, data leakage and jailbreak risks; OpenAI will integrate it into its Frontier platform to test agent behavior and support enterprise governance, and Promptfoo had raised $23.6 million.
