Microsoft Keeps Anthropic Tech Outside Pentagon

Microsoft said Thursday it will continue offering startup Anthropic's AI technology across its products to customers, excluding the U.S. Department of War, after the agency labeled Anthropic a supply-chain risk. Anthropic said it will challenge the designation, and Microsoft confirmed Claude models remain available via Microsoft 365, GitHub Copilot and Azure-backed services, preserving developer and enterprise access while blocking defense-related deployments.
