Microsoft Appoints Asha Sharma As Gaming CEO

Microsoft named Asha Sharma executive vice president and CEO of Microsoft Gaming, succeeding longtime head Phil Spencer, who will remain an adviser through the summer. Sharma will report to CEO Satya Nadella and brings AI and platform experience from roles at Microsoft, Instacart and Meta as she confronts slowing gaming revenue, rising costs and integration of the $69 billion Activision Blizzard deal.
