According to LTA's Facebook post, as reported by AsiaOne and The Straits Times, Olly will make rounds on weekdays between 10am and noon. The robot is intended to guide commuters around the station and answer questions about the rail network and LTA.
LTA stated that officers will accompany and supervise the robot at all times. The authority also said Olly is undergoing mapping and testing before the trial so it can familiarize itself with the station environment.

LTA described the exercise as an effort to explore how AI-enabled technologies can support public-transport operations and improve commuting experiences. The Straits Times reported that LTA Deputy Chief Executive for Infrastructure and Development Yee Boon Cheow had said in May that humanoid robots could eventually handle routine work such as station patrols and simple commuter queries, allowing station staff to focus on customer service and other higher-value work. He also cited physically demanding depot work, including heavy lifting, as a potential application.
The limited duration, restricted operating hours, and continuous human accompaniment make this an operational trial rather than an autonomous deployment.
