Shin Dong-bin, chairman of Lotte Group, received an honorary doctorate in business administration from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) on Wednesday in Daejeon for contributions to science-and-technology-based industrial innovation and sustainable social value. KAIST highlighted his ESG-focused management and a 2022 donation of 14 billion won that funds the Lotte-KAIST R&D Center and an AI-based design center, due to complete in May and September this year.
