Kakao Posts Record Revenue, Partners With Google

SEOUL, Feb. 12 — Kakao Corp. reported on Thursday that its Q4 net loss narrowed to 39.3 billion won, down from a 395.2 billion won loss a year earlier, as operating profit rose 169.7% to 203.4 billion won and quarterly revenue reached a record 2.13 trillion won. The company said platform sales rose 17% to 1.2 trillion won and announced a strategic partnership with Google to advance on-device AI for Android and smart glasses.
