Ixigo on Feb. 14 approved acquiring 60% of Spain’s second-largest train booking platform Online Travel Solutions (Trenes) for €11.70 million, the company said in a regulatory filing. It also approved buying 45.02% of Squad As Service (Sqaas) for €0.45 million; Trenes will become a step-down subsidiary and Sqaas an associate. Ixigo said the deals will leverage its product, technology and AI leadership in Europe.
