Indian Army Uses AI To Repel Chinese Incursion
India's Army said on Feb. 17, 2026 that it used a small AI software to anticipate and repulse an unprecedented Chinese attempt along the Line of Actual Control in Yangtse, Arunachal Pradesh in December 2022, helping deploy troops and prevent casualties. At the India AI Impact Summit 2026 the Army showcased indigenous AI tools — including EKAM, SAM-UN, AI Examiner and PRAKSHEPAN — for situational awareness and disaster prediction.
