India Leverages Energy Capacity To Boost AI

At the India Today AI Summit on Feb. 18, 2026, panelists argued that AI depends on massive, uninterrupted power for data centres and high-performance computing. They highlighted that India has added significant generation capacity and is expanding solar, wind and green hydrogen projects, which could enable domestic data-centre scaling, strengthen data sovereignty and help position India as a competitive AI hub.
