Hong Kong Establishes National Manufacturing Innovation Center

The Hong Kong SAR government will allocate about HK$220 million ($28.1 million) to establish the first national manufacturing innovation center outside the Chinese mainland, the 2026-27 Budget announced Wednesday. Led by the Hong Kong Microelectronics Research and Development Institute and located at Yuen Long InnoPark, the center will focus on semiconductor R&D, AI and health technologies and undergo central evaluation over one to three years.
