Gujarat Unveils STI Policy With Major Targets

Gujarat government on March 1, 2026 unveiled the Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Policy 2026–2031, aiming to create 100,000 research professionals, achieve 1,000 annual IP filings, and launch a ₹1,000 crore innovation fund. The policy prioritizes emerging technologies including AI, semiconductors, quantum and biotech, establishes five flagship S&T clusters, and commits 20% annual R&D lab funding increases.
