Google Warns AI-Driven Malware Rewrites Code

Google Threat Intelligence Group (GTIG) and Mandiant report that in 2025 threat actors deployed adaptive malware and autonomous AI agents that dynamically modify behavior and rewrite their own code. The firms say this marks a shift from experimentation to operational AI-enabled attacks, increasing evasion and persistence. Security teams will face greater detection and remediation challenges.
