Google Focuses AI Utility Across Devices

Google executive Sameer Samat told CNET at CES 2026 that Google is shifting from AI curiosity toward practical "AI utility," aiming to integrate Gemini capabilities across Android phones, Chromebooks, smart glasses, TVs and vehicles. He cited 2025 model advances — including Veo 3, Nano Banana and Gemini 3 — and emphasized agentic, hands-free features to deliver concrete consumer and developer value.
