Generative Bionics and Fincantieri Deploy Humanoid Welders
Generative Bionics has partnered with Fincantieri to develop AI-equipped humanoid welding robots, Fincantieri announced Tuesday. The four-year collaboration targets welding support with manipulation, perception and vision capabilities, scheduling initial tests by the end of 2026 and aiming for operational functionality within two years. Development and industrial validation will occur at Fincantieri’s Sestri Ponente shipyard to improve safety, efficiency, and production quality.
